Welcome to Space Station Omegga, where all the eggs are out of this world! It may take some time to adjust to life in zero gravity, but if you follow this handy guide, you'll be a pro at collecting space eggs in no time.
Once you get here, the first thing you'll notice is your control panel. This is where you can keep track of eggs you've collected, upgrade your egg-collecting tech, keep an eye on your energy meter, and more. It takes up a bit of space, so click the arrow at the top to collapse it and give yourself more room to hunt. You can click the arrow again to bring it back up at any time.
Let's take a look at some of the features in this location!
Basket and Egg Collecting
Click eggs to collect them for your basket. Click the egg count on your control panel to open your basket where you can view, store, or release eggs. Refreshing the game will also empty your basket.
When your basket reaches 100 eggs, the counter will turn red and say "Full!" Any eggs collected past the full point will be added to the basket, and older eggs will be pushed out to make room.
Click or tap the pause button near the top-right corner of the play area to freeze the play screen. Eggs and other items are not clickable when the game is paused. Click the button again to get everything moving!
The energy meter on your control panel displays the amount of energy available to run the AstroBunny and the Flying Saucer. Collect Space Trash to fill it. The more you upgrade your tech, the more energy they will require to run.
Don't want to wait for Space Trash to float by? Click the red button above the energy bar to fill your meter for shells!
A Hefley Motors cousin to the classic DustBunny, the AstroBunny is fully outfitted to help you collect eggs in space! Spend Star Crystals to activate him, and collect Space Trash to fuel him. When he's in action, the AstroBunny will drift around your screen at random, collecting eggs that cross his path.
Eggs collected by the AstroBunny are stored in the Vacuum Bag. Click the AstroBunny icon on your control panel to open the Vacuum Bag. Claim eggs to send them to your basket, or empty them out. NOTE: The AstroBunny vacuums eggs only. It won't suck up Space Trash or Star Crystals.
Once he runs out of energy, the AstroBunny will remain on screen but cease running. He will automatically resume operation when energy is added to the meter.
As you progress through the sectors, you'll have the opportunity to spend Star Crystals to upgrade the AstroBunny. Click Upgrades below the activated AstroBunny icon to view the upgrade window. Upgrade Radius to suck up eggs from farther away, Speed to make the AstroBunny travel around the play area faster, or Capacity to increase the number of eggs the Vacuum Bag can hold.
My Astrobunny stopped sucking up eggs!
If your AstroBunny is on screen but not attracting eggs, you may need to empty your Vacuum Bag or increase its capacity.
Another boost you can activate at Space Station Omegga is the Flying Saucer. Spend Star Crystals to activate it, and it will auto-fire and move across the bottom of the play screen. Each egg shot by the Flying Saucer will fall into your basket.
The Flying Saucer, like the AstroBunny, is also powered by the energy meter. Running both at once will help you collect eggs faster, but will run your energy meter down more quickly.
As you progress through the sectors, you'll have the chance to spend Star Crystals to upgrade the Flying Saucer's speed, fire rate, and multishot. Click the Upgrades button below the activated Flying Saucer to view and purchase upgrade options.
Space Trash and Star Crystals
What’s all this junk floating around? Eggs aren’t the only thing you can find at Omegga Station!
Collect floating Space Trash to recycle into energy which can power your Flying Saucer and the AstroBunny.
Star Crystals are valuable mineral fragments that can be found around Omegga Station. Save them up! They can be used to upgrade your Flying Saucer or AstroBunny, and also to progress to higher ranks. You can acquire crystals by:
- Finding them floating as you hunt
- Completing challenges at Space Station Omegga. One Star Crystal is awarded for each completed challenge.
- Trading eggs or other items in for Star Crystals. Click the tradepost icon (next to the travel icon) to view available trades. Read about trading eggs to Sheldon here.
Can't wait to rank up? Purchase Star Crystals for shells here.
As a Space Cadet at Omegga Station, you'll need to earn your way to the top of the ranks! Progress through the different sections of the Eggsteroid Belt to earn your rank egg. Each rank has 3 sections to complete before advancing.
In Sector A, things are pretty quiet. Chill out here for a while, get your bearings, and collect eggs and Star Crystals. When you've collected enough Star Crystals, you can spend them to advance to the next Sector.
|Tip: While the AstroBunny and Starship can be used any time, Sector A is quiet enough that they're not as necessary. Strategize by waiting to deploy and upgrade those boosts in later sectors!|
Things in Sector B are a little more interesting! Here, you'll find more eggs, more Space Junk, and more Star Crystals. This is a great spot to start using your AstroBunny and Starship. Collect enough Star Crystals, and redeem them to move on to Sector C.
Chaos is king in Sector C! Your boosts will come in handy here, as eggs, Space Junk and Star Crystals will be coming and going fast. Once you've collected enough Crystals to advance, trade them in and earn your next Space Cadet rank badge!
What comes after Sector C?
After you've collected your rank badge, your boosts will be removed and you'll start over in Sector A of the next color rank. As you go up in rank, Star Crystals will appear more frequently. Repeat Sectors A through C for each color to get all the way to Cadet Rank Black!
Can I go back?
After you've progressed to the next sector, there's no going back! Be sure you're ready to advance before redeeming your Star Crystals.
Space Cadet Series
This is the series that contains the eggs you've earned for your Cadet Ranks. Each egg is awarded after completing Sector C of your current rank. Advance all the way through Cadet Rank Black to complete the series.
Robo Pets Series
In the tradepost, trade in Star Crystals for the eggs needed to complete this series. These eggs can also be found while hunting at Omegga Station, but are extremely rare.
Is that it?
